Playermaker is the provider of the world’s first, and only, foot-worn tracking device for soccer.  The unique solution delivers live technical & physical performance data to maximize player development, optimize playing style, and reduce injury risk.  Playermaker is one of the hottest sports-tech companies in the world – well funded, recently accredited by FIFA, and establishing partnerships with some of the world’s largest clubs.   

Playermaker is opening offices in Denver, Colorado and looking to add a Customer Success Manager to the North American team. The role will focus primarily on our B2B/Team (ie not the B2C/individual).  This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small team on the cusp of building a big business here.  You will report to the President of North America, work closely with global Support and Finance staff/resources, and with local Marketing and Sales staff. 

As a Customer Success Manager – North America you will 

• Become an expert and educate customers on the use and benefits of Playermaker

• Perform initial on-boarding of accounts to ensure strong adoption and ongoing engagement throughout the customer’s lifetime

• Execute a comprehensive engagement and communications strategy that develops strong relationships and maintains high customer satisfaction

• Make a positive impact on revenue via meeting, or exceeding, renewal targets and creating upsell/expansion opportunities for the Sales team 

• Communicate often, and effectively, with Sales to provide insights that can help to drive new revenue

• Leverage available tools and data to identify usage patterns, gain insights, provide guidance,  and ultimately increase customer satisfaction

• Assist in the development of tools, processes and best practices to ensure customers are realizing the greatest possible value from Playermaker 

• Cooperate with the global Technical Support team to ensure basic operation and functionality of our solutions are meeting, or exceeding, customer expectations

• Be a customer advocate while capturing customer feedback and work closely with the Product team reporting requests to influence the product roadmap 

What we are looking for 

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer-facing role, such as Customer Success, Customer Support or Account Management

• Minimum of 4 years experience as an elite (college or pro) soccer player/coach/analyst, OR minimum of 2 years experience in the sports-tech industry 

• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships while exceeding KPI’s in previous roles 

• Demonstrated ability and desire to work and excel in start-up environments 

• Confident and comfortable turning excellent written and verbal communication skills into high-quality presentations 

• Forward thinking, life-long learner, who is leveraging modern trends and information to increase efficiency 

• Positive, intelligent, analytical, and solutions-oriented persona who can contribute to, and grow with, the business
